Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer Services in Advent Half hour worship services during the season of Advent will be on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm, December 4, 11 and 18.  These are half hour services of scripture, prayer and song. During the hectic month of December, you are invited to take a brief time-out for worship and it’s always great to sing Holden Evening Prayer together.

Sound Operators – Do you want to share your talent by helping with the Sunday morning service?  You can if you want to run the sound board (iPad) during the service.  If you are interested see James Stolte or leave your name with the church office.  James can show you the system so you can see what is involved before you decide.  Arrangements can be made to sit in at the sound station during the service to see it in action if you wish.  Youth are welcomed to participate.

You are invited to FLC’s Annual Scandinavian Potluck Dinner Wednesday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. Please mark your calendars for the annual Scandinavian Potluck Dinner. We will be setting up the Fellowship Hall to accommodate 173 diners.  To be sure that you and your guests will be able to be seated when you arrive, please pick up a FREE ticket for each person in your party.  We’ll also keep track of the people to whom we give tickets and how many tickets we’ve given away.  Ticket tables will be set up after church on November 24, December 1 and 8 or until all tickets are gone. In addition, we are asking for a crew of helpers and chefs who will be instrumental in making the event a success.  There are two signup opportunities; one for being part of the crew of helpers and the other for saying what food you’ll prepare.  The Congregational Life  Ministry sincerely hopes you will join us for this festive occasion and thanks you in advance for your assistance.
