Celebrate the Morris’ Sunday, April 28th Please come and join us after worship on April 28th with cake and coffee to celebrate Don & Donna Morris. Wish them well on their upcoming move to Arizona.

Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center is grateful and excited to report that they are now in the new dining hall (the very first meal was pizza)!  The dedication, planned for Sunday, May 19th, will be a special day for the camp and for all those who have been committed in seeing the project through.  The Bishop of the UMC Conference will preside over the service as the facility is dedicated to the glory and work of God.  The dedication will begin at 2:00pm with the service at 3:00pm with a meal shortly after.  If you are interested in attending, please email (office@lazyfcamp.org) or call 509.962.2780.  Please see the letter from Dave Burfeind, camp director, on the bulletin board by the kitchen for more       information.

OUTREACH MINISTRY urges "COMMIT NOW;  ACT NEXT WEEK."  Participate in the Sunday, April 28 Bread for the World Offering of Letters.  Tables will be ready in Fellowship Hall, with writing materials, names and addresses, information and sample letters to help us write brief, personal messages to our people in congress.  Hand-written notes are effective!  All hands are needed!

Cluster Meeting for ELCA Churches in South Central WA Sunday, May 5th 3pm at Christ Lutheran in Yakima.  Everyone is welcome.  We’ll get better acquainted, do a little Pre-Assembly stuff and hear from Pastor Phil Misner, assistant to the Bishop in Eastern/WA-ID.  Coffee and treats provided.  You can catch a ride with Pastor Dennis if you like.  (P.S. Pastor D is “Dean” of our cluster.)

Kairos Outside (which helps women, who have a loved one that is or was incarcerated) will be using our facilities on April 13th for a training and April 26-28 for a weekend retreat. Kairos Outside is a weekend retreat intended to help strengthen the family unit and encourage small support groups.  Kairos of Eastern WA holds one weekend a year to provide a secure place for women to share their struggles. Not everyone feels called to this type of ministry or can make the time commitment that is needed to form a team. The women that attend (the guests) do not pay anything.  Team members are working throughout the year to raise funds to cover the expense of a three day weekend for up to 80 people. If you would like to help volunteer your time or for more information, please contact Michele Brown at 407-443-0682 or Micheled_brown@yahoo.com

Lutherhaven Brochures for Summer Camp 2019 are now available on the kids’ table in the fellowship hall.  The calendar provides camp dates for elementary kids through high school youth.  Located on beautiful Lake Coeur d’ Alene, campers build life-long memories, life-renewing relationships, and life-changing Christian faith.  Camperships are available to help defray the cost (info in church office).
