STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY: Do you enjoy a Good story about how God is at work in the world?  Are you someone who wants to share with others?  Do you want to help grow God’s church here at FLC and reach out to others?  We could use your help with our Year Round focus “Stewards of God’s Love”, Stewardship Ministry.  We are focusing on building a year round stewardship emphasis using resources from a variety of resources,  “Stewards of God’s Love” from the ELCA,  “Giving to God” book  by Mark Allen Powell, “New Consecration Sunday” by Herb Miller, “Embracing Stewardship” by Lane and Pomroy, and other ELCA online and printed resources.  This is a great way to grow in your faith journey as we in turn, work together to grow God’s church here at FLC.  We are looking for people to write bulletin inserts, “FLARE” articles, help with the fall Financial Response and Celebration Luncheon, and Stuffing envelopes for the Time and Talents and Estimate of Giving forms, and more. If you want to know more about how you can help, please contact Christine in the church office, Dave Burfeind via email- dcburfeind@gmail.com, (council contact for Stewardship), or Mike Krekling (Stewardship Chair) krekling1@yahoo.com.

MISSION INTERPTRETERS: We also need some help with someone who would like to help tell stories.  Stories about ministry that has happened or could happen here at First, in our Eastern Washington Idaho Synod, and in the world.  You could be trained as another Mission Interpreter here in our congregation and help share the stories we tell during our “Mission Moments” time at worship services throughout the year.   As we celebrate the 500th year of the Reformation and our Lutheran heritage we have much to celebrate and many stories to tell of God’s Work done with Our Hands around the world.  We are looking for two additional Mission Interpreters to be a part of this ministry.  We have a job description and training information available for you to review.  If you are intrigued in finding out about this ministry, please contact Christine in the church office for a copy of the job description and training or Mike Krekling krekling1@yahoo.com; cell 678-493-7300.
