Thank you to Ginny Krekling for preaching today.

Pastor Dennis and Ethan & Carla Bergman are at the Easter WA-ID Synod Assembly in Pasco this weekend. Back in the office tomorrow morning.

Today is Compassion Sunday. Outreach and Congregational Life Ministries invite you to a potluck after church and a brief program on Laurae Lygre’s trip with Compassion to Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere. All are welcome.

F.I.S.H. Food Bank News: Our food donations are down considerably and we need your help! We are running low on some of our staples like canned fruit, cereal, mac & cheese, canned soups and chili, fresh produce like potatoes and oranges. Thank you!

OFFERING OF LETTERS - A SPIRITED EVENT! Thanks to all who helped make last Sunday's Offering of Letters a spirited success!  Seeing so many writers at the "balloon tables," and seeing others deposit their home-written letters in the collection basket, was so thrilling! At this writing, there are 48 letters, to be blessed during the Thursday morning Bible study and sent on their way to Washington, DC., with a few more coming in each day. Good work!

“Spread the Word” (A different way to recycle your weekly church bulletin) Rather than leaving your bulletin at church for recycling, why not put it to use?  Take it with you. You can leave it in your car so on your next visit to the vet, the doctor, the car repair, or beauty shop you can leave it on the table with all the other reading material.  The Spirit works in mysterious ways and your bulletin may just be the most important thing someone reads that week.

Please “Spread the Word” this week and every week as we grow God’s church and as we grow in our faith journey as good stewards. Do your part to help us grow God’s worshiping community at First Lutheran. Sponsored by Stewardship Ministry.

Youth Activities

Today:  Tye Dye Party!  Meet in the fellowship hall at 1 p.m. today and be ready to create a rainbow!

Next Saturday, May 2:

Painting for Habitat for Humanity!  Sign up for the 8:30-11:30 shift, the 11:30 to 3:30 shift, or both!  Meet at the church at 8 or at the site at 11 (depending on what shift you choose).  Waiver forms available and several openings are available.

FLC Swim!  We usually don't have two events in one day, but this one is different! Besides, we all deserve a bit of time in the hot tub after a hard day of painting!!   Meet at the pool 7:30 p.m. for regular swim (all ages), 9 p.m. for "moonlight swim" (ages 13 and up).  See the board for pricing and time details!
