TODAY IS THE DAY!  WRITE YOUR CONGRESSPEOPLE! Poor nutrition blights the lives of children all over the world.   Our annual Bread for the World letters capture the attention of people in Congress - if we write them!   Pause today in Fellowship Hall to exercise your precious privilege of writing directly to those who represent us.  Everything you need is on the Outreach tables; look for the balloons!

We have a splendid opportunity coming soon!  Visitors from Ulanga Kilombero will be arriving soon.  They have been here before so it will be a time of renewing friendships. Rev. Eliud Payowela was here in 2015 and Rev. Moses Nwaka, here only two years ago  will be with us. There will be an all-church potluck -in their honor - the evening of  Monday, May 6th.  Plan to be there.

Women’s Lunch at C5,  213 W 4th Ave STE 104, noon on Friday, May 3rd.  Please feel free to order ahead of time on their website (up to 9 days in advance).

You can now give a financial contribution by using the Vanco Give Plus app on your phone using your credit/debit card or savings/checking account.  Like any credit card use, there is a processing fee charged to the merchant/church.  There is an option you can check to pay a percentage to help cover that cost if you desire.  You will be given credit for the full amount you give.  You also have the option to select different funds to contribute to.  If a fund you want to contribute to is not listed, let the church office or James Stolte know and it can be added.  If you would like more information see James Stolte.

Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center is grateful and excited to report that they are now in the new dining hall (the very first meal was pizza)!  The dedication, planned for Sunday, May 19th, will be a special day for the camp and for all those who have been committed in seeing the project through.  The Bishop of the UMC Conference will preside over the service as the facility is dedicated to the glory and work of God.  The dedication will begin at 2:00pm with the service at 3:00pm with a meal shortly after.  If you are interested in attending, please email (office@lazyfcamp.org) or call 509.962.2780.  Please see the letter from Dave Burfeind, camp director, on the bulletin board by the kitchen for more information.

Weekend Nutrition—We are in need of food for weekend nutrition bags for 20 children at Lincoln  Elementary and Damman School.  Please bring your donations and place them in the box under the coat rack near the sanctuary doors.  Examples include: Chef Boyardee cups, mac ‘n’ cheese cups, fruit or pudding cups, small crackers and cheese packs, basically anything that is easy for kids to open to eat for lunch or dinner.  Bags are assembled here every Thursday for delivery to Lincoln.  If you would like to donate money, we will buy the food—please write out your check to FLC and put “Weekend Nutrition” on the memo line.  Thank you for your support!
