Pastor Dennis and your delegates Mary Johnson & Bill Moran are at the Eastern WA/ID Synod Assembly of the ELCA this weekend in Wenatchee. The theme is “Go Tell Serve.”

Gardening Time again: If anyone is interested in helping in the garden please, contact Doreen Day, Bea Fairburn or Ida Malde.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Praise God! Our mid week offerings during Lent totaled $1007 and were given to the ELCA Malaria Initiative. A treated mosquito net to keep an African family safe from Malaria at night only costs $10.  So our offerings will buy quite a few mosquito nets. Thanks for your generosity!  More on ELCA Malaria Initiative in May.

Please sign up to bring refreshments for fellowship time after the service.  There are  Sundays coming up in May that are wide open!   The signup is on the kitchen door.  Thank you for your service.

Super-Special More-Than-Youth Youth Night: We’re inviting middle high, senior high, and their parents (including younger siblings) to join us for our last Youth Night of the school year (May 2, beginning at 6:30). We’ll have a short devotional, eat some pizza, and leave plenty of time for games — especially some volleyball. Watch the youth Facebook page for more details, including RSVP notification that will help us plan for the right amount of food.

Summer Event Planning: We invite Youth, parents, and volunteers to join us afterWorship on Sunday, May 6 for an Event Planning Meeting. Our hope is to pencil in a summer Youth activity schedule. Events may include hikes, service projects, small group studies, games, and other activities. Be there to help us decide.

Parents’ Night Out: It’s time for another Parents’ Night Out. PNO is a chance for families with young children to get out for a few hours. On Friday, May 11, the FLC Youth will host your kids, feed them, and play games through the night. The night lasts from 5:30 to 9:30. No donations or gratuities will be accepted. However, if you have interest in helping out with the event, please be sure to sign up. We need people to cook, supervise, and clean. Parents and volunteers are asked to sign up so that we plan food and supervision accurately. Contact Sarah Smith or Amanda Kilburn for more information.

Thanks to Youth and parents: Special thanks to the Youth and parents who have helped work on today’s Youth Sunday.

Youth Updates: Do you want Youth updates through e-mail? If so, please e-mail Joe at flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com to be included on our news and events e-mail list. You can also watch the bulletin, the FLC web site, the Youth Facebook page, and the FLARE for more information.
