Church Phone Directory Update Do you have a new address, phone number, or other changes?  If so, please stop by the free-standing bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall to make the changes for our 2012 directory.  The annual publication isn’t just for members, but for members and friends of First Lutheran Church.  If you don’t see your name and would like to be in the directory, please add your name to the list.

Last Supper Pageant: Anyone that would like to participate in the Last Supper Pageant on Maundy Thursday, April 5th: please contact Sheila Johnson at 929-3877-cell or at home 968-3967.  We will start practicing in February, so please be inspired to share your talents.  I need people to read parts for the 12 disciples and Jesus.  Plus, I need extras for costumes, props, set up, and lighting.  I would appreciate whatever help you can give.

Our Eastern WA/ID Synod Assembly will be held in Wenatchee. April 27-29 (Friday-Sunday). First Lutheran can send two delegates (preferably a man and a woman) and the church pays your way. Registration is due by March 16th, so let Pastor Dennis know soon if you are interested.

Annual Potato Feed: Thank you to all who donated desserts, washed dishes, and setup tables for the Annual Potato Feed. We would especially like to thank Don Morris—our head chef, Sheila Johnson, Carla Bergman, and Dan and Cheryl Barnhart (The secret of every successful event is fantastic volunteers). Also, thank you for all of your generous donations as we netted $234 for Youth programs and events.

Winter Youth Retreat: We have filled all available spots for the Winter Retreat, but if you still would like to go, please contact Joe. You can be added to a waitlist. Also, please return all permission/camper information forms and $30 fees as soon as possible (checks should be made to FLC).

During Presidents’ Day Weekend, FLC Youth will travel to Lazy-F Ranch for a couple nights away in the snow. It will be a time for play and worship, including running in the woods, tubing, skating, and avoiding snowballs. We will also sing and study as we set ourselves apart devoted to God and his people.

We will also have a guest Bible teacher, Nate McGown, and music leader, Emily McGown.

We would also love one or two more adult chaperones.

4:00 Friday, February 17– 9:45 Sunday morning, February 19.

Souper Bowl Sunday: Today, as New England defeats New York (Joe’s editorial

comment) in Indianapolis, you’ll have an opportunity to battle hunger in Ellensburg. The Youth will be taking a “Souper Bowl” offering to support the FISH food bank. Following worship, Youth will stand outside with soup bowls marked for each of the two Super Bowl teams. Please bring a few extra dollars to give to this special offering. Thrivent

Financial has generously offered to match donations again this year.
