Thank you to Judy Ragland for playing the organ today.

Special Offering to FISH Food Bank for December was $671.00.

Are you interested in being a Council Member?  We need at least one more council member for 2019.  Is this one of your gifts of the Spirit?  Please let Pastor Dennis know if you can serve.  You would be elected at our annual meeting, January 27th.

Red Cross Blood Drive here at FLC on Monday, January 21st 1-6p.m. (Martin Luther King Jr Day)  Please go to redcross.org to schedule an appointment.

Annual Meeting of First Lutheran Church: Sunday, Jan 27th

Our youth will be serving a baked potato bar.  Immediately after lunch we will have our annual meeting, the main purpose of which is to pass an annual budget and elect church council members.  So we need all voting members to stay for a brief meeting.  (If you are an adult or a confirmed youth, you are a voting member.)  A budget forum was held on Sun. Jan 13.

Weekend Nutrition—We are in need of food for weekend nutrition bags for 15 children at Lincoln Elementary.  Please bring your donations and place them in the box under the coat rack near the sanctuary doors.  Examples include: Chef Boyardee cups, mac ‘n’ cheese cups, fruit or pudding cups, small crackers and cheese packs, basically anything that is easy for kids to open to eat for lunch or dinner.  Bags are assembled here every Thursday for delivery to Lincoln.  If you would like to donate money, we will buy the food—please write out your check to FLC and put “Weekend Nutrition” on the memo line.  Thank you for your support!

Confirmation Retreat at Lazy F Camp February 1-2

The retreat will come up on us fast, so please mark your calendars.  We hope there will be snow.  If there is snow, please bring warm gear for the awesome tubing hill.  There will also be time for the game room, craft room and great food in the dining hall.  Make sure you bring your sleeping bag, pillow and a toothbrush, as well as a Bible and a notebook, as we plan to cover a couple confirmation lessons. High school youth are welcome, too. $30 per student.  Scholarships available—see Pastor Dennis.  Adults—free!

We’ll plan to leave the church Fri 2/1 at 4 pm and return to church Sat at 4 or 5 pm.  It’s a really fun time!  Please, sign up on the board!

Church Phone Directory Update: Do you have a new address, phone number, email address that you would like included or other changes?  If so, please stop by the free-standing bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall to make the changes for our 2019 Directory.  The annual publication isn’t just for members, but for members and friends of First Lutheran Church.  If you don’t see your name and would like to be in the directory, please add your name to the list.  Please put a check mark, next to your name to show that you have checked to make sure that your information is correct.  Thank you! Photo board. If your smiling face is not in the photo board in the fellowship hall, we would like it to be!  It helps us get to know each better.  Please submit a photo or email to church.  P.S. Snap a photo of the whole photo board with your phone.
