Flowers for today are provided by Glen & Karen McLean in honor of Glen’s birthday.

Vacation Bible School:  June 29-July 3 for kids age 4 to those entering 6th grade.  Please see the table in the fellowship hall for details and registration forms.  There is also a sign-up on the easel for various ways to help out.  Can you be a cookie-baker,  provide food for a night, or to be a crew or station leader?  Lots of open positions, your help is needed and appreciated very much!

Potluck Supper in the Park:  All are invited to attend the potluck the last night of Vacation Bible School on Thursday, July 3rd at the West Ellensburg Park covered area.  You don’t have to be involved with VBS, just join us!  The dinner is at 6:00.  Plates, napkins, utensils, cups, and serving spoons will be provided.  Please bring a dish to share and your own beverage.  Come and enjoy good food and fellowship.

Stewardship Stu here... with a question. Did you vote in favor of the proposed budget at the last Congregational Meeting? If so do you understand that implied you would support it through your giving? At last check we were short of meeting our budgetary commitment by some $14,000. That's a lot of broken trust. Our membership hasn't dropped off but our giving has. Please pray about your giving. If you are tithing then give thanks for that ability and pray for those who are not. If you aren't returning a regular percentage through your weekly offering then ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your financial life. You care about First Lutheran so please pray that we meet our budget and that our council will be good stewards of the money that's available. That's it, pray. Got it? Pray. See you in church.   Stu

The Red Cross thanks the Church for the use of the building on June 11th.  They were able to collect 35 units of blood, potentially saving 105 lives.  Great job, everyone!
