Flowers for today are provided by Fred & Charlene Watterson in honor of their 55th Wedding anniversary and in memory of Charlene’s mother Iona Kuchenbuch.

The Wednesday Soup and Bread Supper will be hosted this week by members of the Congregational Life.  Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious meal. At 6:45 we’ll engage in some Bible Study around tables.  Then at 7:10 pm we’ll move into the sanctuary for a 20 minute Holden Evening Prayer service.  Come as you are to these fun and informal evenings of good food, fellowship, Bible study and worship. The following ministries are hosting soup suppers:

Stewardship & Property Management—March 11th

Youth & Education—March 18th

Outreach—March 25th

First Communion Classes For Fourth Graders March 1 and 8th  after Worship. All fourth graders (and older students who have not yet received communion instruction) are invited to attend 2 short classes with me on Sundays, March 1st and 8th after worship. Parent(s) are encouraged to attend with their son or daughter and the classes will last about an hour. Please plan on attending both Sundays. We will meet in the Quilting room. Please let Pastor Dennis know if you will be attending 925-2844.

F.I.S.H. BENEFIT CONCERT: The Sparrow Singers and the Chance Brothers will share the stage for a F.I.S.H. benefit concert on March 13th at Mercer Creek Church.  The program theme is Songs of the West.  Lee Bates, director, is seeking additional singers for this program of cowboy songs.  Tenors are especially needed! The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings at the First Presbyterian Church from 7:00-9:00.  The commitment would include just four rehearsals in addition to the March 13th performance.  Contact Lee Bates at 509-925-2343 or email: lrbates3@fairpoint.net, if you are able to help out for this important benefit event. Or, just show up at rehearsal.   You’re guaranteed to have a great time making music for a worthy cause.

Daylight Savings Time Begins: Don’t forget to change your clocks back on Saturday, March 7th before you go to bed.

Thank you for the opportunity to present a Gideon Report last Sunday and to meet the congregation.  I want to thank you for your support, the offering that was given in the amount of $306 is evidence of your congregations concern for making the Word of God available to those who otherwise may not have a copy.
