Thank you, to John & Patty Akers and friends for cooking and serving the FISH Food Bank Dinner yesterday. We need volunteers for April.

 

Nursery Help Needed:  High School Students, do you need community service hours?  Sign up to help in the nursery, and we will sign off on your hours. See the sign up next to the youth bulletin board in the fellowship hall and choose a Sunday.  Thank you!

 

The Wednesday Soup and Bread Supper will be hosted this week by members of the Congregational Life Ministry.  Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious meal at 6:40.  Since 2017 is “Reformation 500” year we will view Lutheran travel host Rick Steve’s recent DVD on the Reformation.  Later in Lent we’ll do some review of Luther’s teachings on the 10 Commandments, Baptism, Lord’s Supper, Apostles’ Creed,  and Lord’s Prayer in his small catechism.  Then at 7:10 pm we’ll move into the sanctuary for a 20 minute Holden Evening Prayer service.  Come as you are to these fun and informal evenings of good food, fellowship, Bible study and worship. The following ministries are hosting soup suppers:

Outreach News: The Dining Hall in Tumaini School in our companion synod, Ulanga Kilombero: Our Freising German companions have raised the money for creating a large computer room inside the Dining Hall! It will be dust free and good enough to educate the students in a much better environment than today and to keep the equipment in good order. We will keep you informed as the building of this room.

Youth Activities

 

Lent continues!  Be sure to join the congregation Wednesday night for soup supper and Lenten worship!


March 29 - Youth brings the soup!  Sign up on the board to bring soup or bread!  Meet in the kitchen around 5 - dinner starts at 6!


Easter is around the corner!  Keep your eyes on the youth board - we will be having sign ups for Easter Breakfast soon!


High School Youth: There are still some spots available for the Yakima River Clean Up!  Free Donuts and Pizza!


Aspen needed items drive is still going on!  Take a sticky note off the board and bring in the real deal next time at church!
