Thank you to all who donated to Munch Madness our weigh in on February 24th was 496 pounds. 

 

Our FISH Food Bank giving for the month of February was $352.00.

 

Our friend Gladys Wahle died February 20th. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 11th at 1:30p.m. Gladys was 96 years old. We commend her to God’s everlasting care with all confidence in our Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Make up Photography Dates March 5 & 12 If you were not able to have your picture taken back in October/November for our church photo wall, please plan to do so on Sundays, March 5 or 12 after worship. Randy Uhl will be snapping photos in the fellowship hall and we hope to have everyone’s smiling face.

 

 

The Wednesday Soup and Bread Supper will be hosted this week by members of the Worship & Music Ministry.  Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious meal. At 6:40   Since 2017 is “Reformation 500” year we will view Lutheran travel host Rick Steve’s recent DVD on the Reformation.  Later in Lent we’ll do some review of Luther’s teachings on the 10 Commandments, Baptism, Lord’s Supper, Apostles’ Creed,  and Lord’s Prayer in his small catechism.  Then at 7:10 pm we’ll move into the sanctuary for a 20 minute Holden Evening Prayer service.  Come as you are to these fun and informal evenings of good food, fellowship, Bible study and worship. The following ministries are hosting soup suppers:

Property Management and Stewardship—March 15th

Congregational Life—March 22nd

Education and Youth—March 29th

Outreach—April 5th

 



Youth Activities

 

Next Sunday:  CWU Rock Climbing Wall!  I need a waiver (found on the Youth Board) and a copy of your insurance card.  Sign up for the few remaining spots!

 

Soup’s for dinner!  Come in Wednesday nights for soup supper.  Our turn to serve soup is March 29th.  Make sure you sign up on the board.

 

April 15 – High School Youth:  Yakima River Clean up!  Sign up is online and be sure to select “Umtanum” site.  I will pick up the waivers for us!  Spots are limited!

 

New project!  Sierra Smith and Sarah Roberts are leading a fabulous collection for a worthy cause!  We are collecting items for ASPEN.  Be sure to check out the board to pick an item to donate.  Spread the world.  People deserving a chance to start over fresh in life are grateful for our gifts!
