Thank you to Judy Ragland for playing the service and Kathy Temple for accompanying the choir.

 

The Wednesday Soup and Bread Supper will be hosted this week by members of the Property Management & Stewardship.  Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious meal. At 6:45 we’ll engage in some Bible Study around tables.  Then at 7:10 pm we’ll move into the sanctuary for a 20 minute Holden Evening Prayer service. Come as you are to these fun and informal evenings of good food, fellowship, Bible study and worship.  The following ministries are hosting soup suppers:

Outreach—March 25th

 

First Lutheran will be cooking and serving the F.I.S.H. Food Bank Dinner Saturday, March 14th here at FLC. Set up and cooking start at 3p.m, we serve at 5p.m., cleanup takes about an hour. Please let Pastor Dennis know if you can help. Come for all or part  of it as your schedule allows.

Adult Sunday Class, starting March 15th 8:45a.m. in the Chapel. “Catching Fire: Becoming Flame– A Guide for Spiritual Transformation” by Albert Haase. We are doing a shortened version of this on Wednesday’s in Lent. On Sundays we’ll have time to watch the whole DVD presentation and read the book. Everyone is welcome.

F.I.S.H. BENEFIT CONCERT: The Sparrow Singers and the Chance Brothers will share the stage for a F.I.S.H. benefit concert on March 13th at Mercer Creek Church.  The program theme is Songs of the West.  Lee Bates, director, is seeking additional singers for this program of cowboy songs.  Tenors are especially needed! The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings at the First Presbyterian Church from 7:00-9:00.  The commitment would include just four rehearsals in addition to the March 13th performance.  Contact Lee Bates at 509-925-2343 or email: lrbates3@fairpoint.net, if you are able to help out for this important benefit event. Or, just show up at rehearsal.   You’re guaranteed to have a great time making music for a worthy cause.

Wednesday: Youth Fellowship/Devotional after soup supper

 

Next Sunday:  Youth Movie Matinee featuring Darby O'Gill and the Little People.  Green snacks, leprechaun punch, and the popcorn bar will be in full effect!  Bring a friend and celebrate that bit o' Irish!
