Being baptized today is Karsten Erland Silveira White. Karsten is the son of Ben & Marianne White. Finn is his big brother. Karsten’s sponsors in baptism are Elizabeth Hanson and Lisa Silveira. We welcome you, Karsten into the Family of God!

 

27 Bread for the World letters were mailed in last week.  Thank you for writing your legislators about hunger issues!

 

Flowers for today are provided by Sheila Johnson in honor of all mothers, here and gone.

 

Our special giving to FISH for the month of April was $1,396.95. 

 

Choir Party, May 18th 6p.m. at Kramlich’s house. Please bring a hot dish, salad or dessert to share.

 

The last day of Sunday School for the Middle/High School class and the adult class will be Sunday, May 21.  The younger children, ages 4 through 5th grade will continue to meet during the worship service until Sunday, June 11.

 

At our Eastern Washington/Idaho Synod Assembly May 19-21 in Spokane, we will be electing a new bishop.  These 6 candidates remain: Dave Kappus, Kristen Kuempel, Paul Palumbo, Peg Harvey-Morose, Mike Sager and Matthew Erickson.  May the Holy Spirit guide us to elect the right person for the office.

 

Parable Film Festival: During the Sunday school hour (9–9:45) on May 21, the Youth will present short films they have written, starred in, and created. Each film is a re-imagined version of one of Jesus’ parables. All are invited. Refreshments will be available. Warning: there may be zombies.

 

 

Youth Activities

This Saturday: Trip to Laser Tag!  We have a few more openings for our trip to Tukwilla's Family Fun Center!  Leave the church at 9 a.m..  Bring a sack lunch and your $5 deposit if you haven't paid already! Be back around 5 p.m.!


Homeless care kits: Still collecting nail clippers, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.  Drop them off in the bin under the board.
