Today is Compassion Sunday “Tell a child I am here for you.” Plant a seed of hope in the heart of an impoverished boy or girl in a developing country. Sponsor a child through Compassion International for $38 a month and provide educational, social, and health benefits through a local church in the community where the child lives. Best of all, each child will hear the gospel and learn of God’s love. Visit the sign-up table at church or call Laurae at 925-3098 for more information. Thank you.

SUNDAY'S May 4, 11, 18, 25, after worship.  What does it mean to be a Lutheran Christian?  Sunday's during May Pastor Ginny Krekling will lead discussions on key beliefs of the Lutheran Church as well as some insights into several other Faith denominations.  We'll talk about the ELCA, our national church body, and how our understandings are similar and different from other Lutheran bodies.  If you haven't looked at these issues since you were confirmed or if like many you have never had a chance to discuss your faith in a safe setting these classes are for you.

Ushers are still needed for May and June. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board near the kitchen. If you’re available to help, please sign up with your name and phone number. Ushers distribute programs as people enter the sanctuary, help collect the offering, and count the number of people attending. It’s a great way to say hello to old friends and maybe meet some new ones.
