Thank you: From the ELCA for the recent gift of $1007.00 to the ELCA Malaria Campaign.  Your faithful generosity makes a life-changing, life-saving difference. Your gift is appreciated now more than ever. As the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we do more together than we ever could do alone. We are a church that rolls up its sleeves and solves problems-doing God’s work in the world. Thank you for your support.

Offerings from our E.WA-ID Synod Assembly in Wenatchee April 27th-29th.

Opening Worship: $2444 given to Tree of Life Lutheran in Yakima.
Closing Worship: $10,446 given to the ELCA Malaria Campaign. (This includes the $1,007 from First Lutheran.)

Summer Event Planning: We invite Youth, parents, and volunteers to join us after Worship today for an Event Planning Meeting. Our hope is to pencil in a summer Youth activity schedule. Events may include hikes, service projects, small group studies, games, and other activities. Be there to help us decide.

Parents’ Night Out: It’s time for another Parents’ Night Out. PNO is a chance for families with young children to get out for a few hours. On Friday, May 11, the FLC Youth will host your kids, feed them, and play games through the night. The night lasts from 5:30 to 9:30. No donations or gratuities will be accepted. However, if you have interest in helping out with the event, please be sure to sign up. We need people to cook, supervise, and clean. Parents and volunteers are asked to sign up so that we plan food and supervision accurately. Contact Sarah Smith or Amanda Kilburn for more information.

Hike to the Cross: Following worship on Sunday, May 20, Youth—and other hikers—are invited for a Hike to the Cross at Lazy-F. We’ll have a brief lunch at FLC before leaving. If you can help assist in prepping a quick meal or driving, please let Joe or Amanda know.

Youth Updates: Do you want Youth updates through e-mail? If so, please e-mail Joe at flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com to be included on our news and events e-mail list. You can also watch the bulletin, the FLC web site, the Youth Facebook page, and the FLARE for more information.

Bible Adventures is a program for all children ages 4 through 3rd grade that is held during the worship service immediately following ‘Just for Kids’ time.  Sometimes there are many children attending the class and the teachers have established behavior expectations.  Children will be expected to: follow directions, listen to the lesson, show respect for all people, and to conduct themselves in a safe, caring, and responsible manner.  We appreciate this valuable time of learning and sharing for our children and we thank all who help to make Bible Adventures a positive experience.

Valley Musical Theatre Rising Stars will present Godspell Jr. at the EHS Little Theatre May 18th and 19th at 7p.m. and May 19th and 20th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at Jerrol’s and at the door. This production includes Ellensburg students in grades 6-9.
