Flowers for today are provided by Sheila Johnson in honor of her daughter Kim’s 50th birthday.

Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer Services in Advent, November 30, December 7, 14.

Half hour worship services continue during the season of Advent on Wednesday nights at 7p.m.  These are short services of scripture, prayer and song. During the hectic month of December, you are invited to take a brief time-out for worship and it’s always great to sing Holden Evening Prayer together.

Kitchen TOWELS: has anyone recently taken some kitchen towels and washcloths home to wash?  The drawers are looking rather bare!  Thank you!!

Scandinavian Potluck Dinner, Wednesday, December 7th at 5:30p.m. We will be setting up the Fellowship Hall to accommodate 173 diners. To be sure that you and your guests will be able to be seated when you arrive, you should pick up a FREE ticket for each person in your party, we’ll also keep track of the people to whom we gave tickets and how many. Ticket table will also be available after church next Sunday, December 4th or until all tickets are gone. Because space is limited, if you take tickets and find later that you are unable to attend, please call the church office to let us know so that others can come to the dinner. In addition, we are asking for a crew of helpers and chefs who will be instrumental in making the event a success. There are two sign-up opportunities: one for being part of the crew of helpers and the other for indicating what food you’ll prepare. The Congregational Life Ministry thanks you in advance for your assistance.

If anyone is interested in helping at the Cold Weather Shelter, you can signup online, at http://signup.com/go/JM7XYX, you will need to set up an account or login using Facebook.

Thank you to all who donated and bought Bread for the World Baked Goods last week.  Through “Rick Steves/Bread for the World Drive” we were able to double our giving of $400.00 to $800.00 to help feed the hungry.

Youth Activities

Kudos to our congregation and Youth group yet again!!  37 Operation Christmas Child boxes are now on their way to Southern California where they will be organized, sorted, and prepared to ship out.  Big hugs and thanks to everyone!

Next Sunday:  Trip to Fused! in Roslyn.  We are full to the brim with youth and will head up in a convoy to make glass ornaments.  Thank you to those who volunteered to drive last Sunday!  I promise this adventure will give you great memories that will last a life time!

Got meatballs?  Scandinavian Dinner is on December 7th.  Meet me by the coffee machine at 5:30 p.m. to find out what your role is.  No Kulning (yodeling) experience required!
