Sign up to bring goodies for fellowship time.  The cupboard is bare!  Everything has been pulled out of the freezer the past few weeks.  Please consider bringing refreshments for after the service on an upcoming Sunday.  Ideas are:  cookies, sweet bread, fruit, cheese and crackers, etc.  Purchased or home made.  The sign-up is on the kitchen door.   Thank you for your willingness to serve.

Men’s Luncheon: Tuesday, November 8th 11:45a.m. at Rodeo City BBQ.

BREAD FOR THE WORLD SALE

Sunday, November 13th is the date set for our annual sale of baked goods, in support of Bread for the World.  Again we depend upon (but do not take for granted!) our corps of willing and very able bakers to load the Fellowship Hall tables with their wonderful, tempting creations!  (In this case, temptation is alright!)
And once again, Thrivent will match the dollars we raise, doubling our contribution to this very worthy cause!  Bring it on, bakers!

New Members Classes continue today, 11:30am in the Chapel Room. Even if you didn’t make it last Sunday, feel free to join in if you are thinking about becoming a member here or if you just have questions. We meet for about 45 minutes on October 30th,
November 6, 13 and 20.

Youth Event Planning Meeting: Following this morning’s worship (11/6), we’ll have an Event Planning meeting to review upcoming events for November and December. We’ll also discuss plans for the Youth retreat in February.

FISH + Bowl: Saturday, November 12, FLC will be serving a meal at the FISH Food bank. Youth are invited to join in. We’ll help serve and eat dinner. After dinner, we’ll move to Ellensburg Rodeo Bowl for a game or two. Parents can pick students up at Rodeo Bowl. Watch the Facebook page for more information, including times and bowling costs.

Fall Youth Schedule:
Be sure to grab a copy of the new November/December Event Schedule. For now, here’s a quick overview of some upcoming events:
11/6 Event Planning Meeting
11/12 FISH Foodbank/Bowling event.
12/14 Special Joint Youth Night (Confirmation students are invited)

Youth Night: Youth Night spends another week with the minor prophets. We’ll follow Jonah on his strange journey to Nineveh including a small visit to the inside of a fish. Wednesdays, 6:30 to 7:45.

Sunday School: Remember that the Youth Sunday School meets every week from 9:00 to 9:45. We continue working through common questions about our beliefs. Every week we take a vote on the next week’s main question. This morning, we discussed the question, “Is the Bible true?” Next week, we’ll consider a pretty tough one: “How do I stop doing things I know I shouldn’t do?” Don’t miss it.

University Ministry: Do you have ideas for a university ministry, or are you interested in help organizing a student group? Once again this fall, FLC is blessed with several CWU students looking for ways to connect and grow. If you have time, ideas, and/or interest, please talk with Joe Johnson (or e-mail: flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com).

Youth Updates: Do you want Youth updates through e-mail? If so, please e-mail Joe at flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com to be included on our news and events e-mail list. You can also watch the bulletin, the FLC web site, the Youth Facebook page, and the FLARE for more information.
