 Flowers for today are provided by Don & Donna Morris in honor of their 63rd wedding anniversary. 

 

Pastor Dennis will be at the Bishop’s Convocation in Clarkston, WA Monday, October 26th-Wednesday, October 28th. He will be back in time for Confirmation Class.


Fall Yard Cleanup Saturday, Oct. 31 Come lend a hand 8:30 am to Noon Please come help on October 31st if you can.  Bring your gloves, rakes, clippers and other useful tools.  Pick-up trucks are always useful for hauling the leaves and branches away.  Thank You!

 

F.I.S.H. Food Bank is in need of canned goods, especially fruit.


New Members Class November 1, 8, 15, 22 Sundays after worship. Anyone who is interested in joining First Lutheran Church, or simply wants a little refresher on what Lutherans believe and do is invited to attend these four classes after Sunday worship services.  We’ll meet in the Chapel Room for an hour or less with Pastor Dennis and read together Dan Erlander’s great little book, “Baptized We Live.”  Please plan on attending all four classes if you can.  It’s a great time to ask questions and get to know some of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

 

First Lutheran Church Quilt Sale Saturday, November 7th 9a.m. to noon. 

 

Daylight Savings Time Ends, next Sunday, November 1st.


Sound Operators Needed – Looking for one or two more people to run the sound board on Sunday mornings, possibly once a month.  Training and coaching will be provided.  You can check it out and if it is not for you there is no commitment.  If you are interested see James Stolte.  Youth are encouraged to think about it.

 

Cold Weather Shelter for homeless people   Thursday Nights at First Lutheran starting November 5th, 7p-7a. Youth Activities

 Thank you to everyone who participated in last week's 12th Man Tailgating Fundraiser!  Over $1200 was donated!  From the bottom of my heart and speaking for those who benefit from this outreach, a thousand thank yous!

Coming soon: November 8:  Planetarium experience.  Middle and High school Youth beware!  Dr. Palmquist takes us on a journey to the stars right in our own gym!  More details to come!

 

Just keep knitting!  5 weeks until the tree goes up in the Fellowship hall and is ready for donated mittens, hats, and scarves!
