Flowers for today are provided by Sheila Johnson in honor of her baptism.

Please join the Congregational Life Ministry for a potluck after the service today to welcome returning CWU students.

Time and Talent Surveys will be available for you to fill out today. We are attempting to do our Time and Talent Surveys “in house” as much as much as possible this year. You will also have opportunities to fill one out during/after worship on Sundays, October 12th and 19th. This will also save on postage.  Thank you.

Gleaners are needed at the Food Bank. At this time of year people have ripe fruit on trees, but maybe they can’t pick it and they want to donate it to the food bank. If you can help glean fruit, the food bank has the contact information, stop by the food bank or call 925-5990.

8th Annual Turkey Dinner, Saturday, October 18th at 5:30p here at FLC, $10 individual or $25 family.   All profits go to Veteran’s programs here in Kittitas County. All are welcome! If you have any questions, please call Don Morris at 929-1032 or 962-9026.

Bread for the World Letters to Congress - a new wrinkle! Next Sunday, October 12, after our own worship service, we letter-writers will troop or drive to the First Methodist Church at 3rd and Ruby.  While enjoying fellowship with Methodist friends, we shall write to our people in congress, urging their support of specific actions to improve the delivery of food - in the U.S. and abroad - to the world's hungry people.  Information, "talking points," names and addresses and writing materials will be provided; we need bring only our willing selves!

Sunday, October 12:  Please stay after church for our youth's 12TH Man Tailgating Fundraiser!  Show your Seahawk spirit as you snack on traditional tailgating food such as Chili, Nachos, Potato Skins, and Buffalo Wings (not too spicy)!  The youth is raising money to boost the radio fund so that those who can't come to church can still worship  with our congregation by tuning in to our service via 1240 KXLE.  By donation and matched by Thrivent.  Come support our youth and join us in having fun.
