Choir Resumes Thursday, September 28th It's time to start singing so get those pipes warmed up for choir rehearsals which will be Thursday, September 28th in the Sanctuary at 7p.m.. Of course, we at First Lutheran sing in church every Sunday (and sing very well, too), but we love to have our choir sing anthems to help celebrate what God has done for us.  In the 500th year of the Reformation, the choir is planning a special presentation of “The Gloria” and we would love to have a lot of singers.

Hospice Friends Needs You!! To Be A Volunteer September 28 & 29      9- 4:30p Hospice friends was organized in 1983 to provide volunteers who would spend time with people at the end of life so they could maintain a good quality of life when the quantity of life was limited. We always need new volunteers. If you, or someone you know, is interested in a volunteer position at Hospice Friends, we have two upcoming trainings. There are training requirements for all volunteers and very specific training for volunteers who will spend time with hospice patients.

· Volunteer opportunities include:

· Spending time with hospice patients

· Performing administrative tasks in the office

· Periodically assisting with major office and/or storage unit clean up and organization

· Working at fundraising and other events

All volunteers must complete an application, have a background check and attend training sessions. For more information please call Rhonda Muller 509-968-5117.
