Flowers for today are provided by Sheila Johnson in honor of her grandson Taylor’s birthday.

Sunday School classes for all ages began this morning.   After worship today the children and youth will be serving cookies that they made and “Sunday Sundaes” during fellowship time to celebrate the first day of classes.  Come join us, and thank you to the children and youth for hosting fellowship time today.

Adult Sunday Class  started this morning at 8:45am in the Chapel Room. This fall we’ll continue in the Gospel of Luke where we left off last May, Luke 17.  Newcomers and everyone is welcome to join Pastor Dennis.

Just a reminder that the Annual FLCW Rummage Sale is coming up, Friday October 4th and Saturday October 5th.  You may start bringing your items in to the church after worship on Sunday, September 29th-noon October 3rd.  Any questions?  Please call Linda  Strand 929-1816 or Diana Lien.

FISH REPORT: FISH regularly serves free lunches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as dinner on Saturday evenings.  First Lutheran cooked and served dinner Saturday, 9/7.  In August, our church donated 89 pounds of food.  People in need made 1,677 visits to the food bank. (The lunch-in-the parks program has ended as school as resumed).

Next Sunday two children will be baptized: Layla and Van Laramie, daughter and son of Gabe and Stephanie (Ponchene) Laramie.
