Sunday School Begins September 16th: The first day of Sunday School classes will be Sunday, September 16.  All kids age 4 through 5th grade will meet during part of the worship service immediately after “Just for Kids” time.  Middle/High School youth will meet at 8:45 in the youth room off the gym, and the adult class will meet with Pastor Dennis at 8:45 in the chapel room down the hall. There’s a class for everyone—hope to see you on Sunday, September 16th!

 

Church Potluck! Sunday, September 16th After Worship Everyone in the congregation is invited to attend the  POTLUCK lunch on Sunday, September 16th in the fellowship hall.  Please, bring a dish to share.  Plates, utensils, napkins, cups, lemonade, and serving spoons will be provided.  Come and enjoy some good food and fellowship!

 

Confirmation Pizza Feed Wednesday, September 12th at 6:30 pm. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and their parents who are interested in our Confirmation ministry are invited to a pizza feed and information time from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Wed. Sept 12th.  This will be a good time to ask questions, get an overview of the year and sign up to be acolytes. On Sept 12th we will also walk through what you do as an acolyte on Sundays.  Actual confirmation classes will start on Wed., Sept. 19th at 6:30 pm.  Please let pastor Dennis know how many from your family are coming to the Pizza Feed on Wed., Sept 12th so he orders enough food.  Please, call 925-2844 church, 929-2927 Pastor Dennis or email flceburg@yahoo.com. High Schoolers are welcome to come and have pizza with us, too.


Ministry Meetings all are welcome to join in the Ministry Meetings after worship Sunday, September 9th.


Prayer Vigil for keeping families together.  Monday-Thursday 9a.m.-noon at First Lutheran and noon to 3p.m. at United Methodist.

             Anyone is invited to come in for silent prayer.  We pray that children will soon be  reunited with their parents and better immigration practices will prevail.  And pray for whatever is on your heart and mind for a few minutes, half an hour or whatever you have time for. As of Monday, 528 kids are still separated from their parents.



Youth Activities

Youth Group (grades 6 - 12)


High School: Sign ups are almost full! A couple more spots for the Yakima Escape Room!  We are going on Sat, Sept 15 - leaving the church about 5 pm.

 

All Youth: Nailed It!  Come test your decorating skills and see if you can match a pro!  First round, individual competition.  Second round is for the teams!  Sunday, September 23  1 pm to 4 pm.  

 

12th Man Fundraiser!!  This year we are raising money for the new Lazy F dining hall!  Sign ups to bring food will be up in a couple of weeks so think about your best game day finger foods!  Get your favorite team gear out and dress up.  This year I will be wearing the Bears in honor of my father.  Sorry Seahawks!     Decorating Party date: Saturday, October 6 Fundraiser date: Sunday, October 7

 

 **Family Fun Night Haunted Maze Planning Committee (FFNHMPC) - Meeting after church on Sunday, Sept 9th and September 16.  Shopping day on Saturday, Sept 22.

 

Thank you for donations to the schools!  So many beautiful things are going out to kids who need it most!
