Council members are to look at the by-laws to see if the committees there are doing what we should be doing.

Pete moved and Jan gave second to replace the faucets currently needing such and to buy locally. Motion passed.
The water fountain replacements will be looked into.
Summer projects are being lined up.
South Property: Julie Anna reported that the first half of 2023 property taxes were paid so the budget will reflect that as a shortage.

Pastor’s report to church council April 11, 2023
1. The season of Lent and Resurrection Day (Easter) went well. Thanks again to the ministries and everyone who provided soup and bread on Wed. nights. It was good to worship with our Methodist friends here on Ash Wed and there on Good Fri. Many thanks to Julie Anna Boss and the youth (and parents) for the delicious Easter breakfast.
2. Thanks to Betty and Sheila for music at Dee Linder’s memorial on April 8th, and to Estelle Johnson and crew for lunch afterwards.
3. Synod Assembly April 28-30 at Pasco Red Lion. We are electing (re-electing?) a bishop among other things. Kara Danna and I are your delegates. We are overnighting at my Mom’s house in Pasco which saves $100/person. Sunday April 30th will be Compassion Sunday here with Laurae Lygre presenting/preaching.
4. 2 guests from the Ulanga Kilombero Diocese of the ELCTanzania were denied visas by the U.S. embassy in Tanzania. But Philorian Mpendaye, General Secretary of the UKD will be with us at synod assembly. He will be traveling around our synod and will be in Ellensburg May 6-7. He will spend the night at my house on Sat May 6 and then be with us on Sunday morning to bring greetings/present/Q&A. A potluck is planned for after worship.
5. Baptisms: Collette Foreman—1 year old daughter of Rick & Erin Foreman on Sun March 26. Ella Frick—13 year old daughter of David & Jolie Frick, on April 1.
6. Purchase an AED: About $1500.
7. Great to have the choir singing this year!
8. Mary Morrow, Director of Evangelical Ministries for our synod, will preach here on Sun April 16. She will be the guest speaker/teacher at the Lazy F women’s retreat on Sat. April 15.
Next meeting Tues May 9th? Devotions?
Peace in Christ, Pastor Dennis
