Sponsor a Calla Lily for Easter! We would like to get 8 sponsors. These can be in honor of, or in memory of, as we do for altar flowers. If you would like it to be included in the bulletin for Easter Sunday, please let the office know. Cost for sponsoring a lily is $20. Please contact the Church office 925-2844 for more information. Payments will be collected in the church office. We are changing from Easter Lilies to Calla Lilies due to allergies.

OFFERING OF LETTERS, APRIL 28- MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER! Just in, from Bread for the World: "Parts of Africa are suffering the most severe drought in more than 50 years. Urge your members of Congress to increase funding for global nutrition, which includes programs to help farmers grow crops that can withstand climate change." Outreach Ministry urges all persons - not only voters, adults, church members - to commit to writing letters to Congress on April 28. People are counting on us!

Cluster Meeting for ELCA Churches in South Central WA Sunday, May 5th 3pm at Christ Lutheran in Yakima. Everyone is welcome. We’ll get better acquainted, do a little Pre-Assembly stuff and hear from Pastor Phil Misner, assistant to the Bishop in Eastern/WA-ID. Coffee and treats provided. You can catch a ride with Pastor Dennis if you like. (P.S. Pastor D is “Dean” of our cluster.)

Thank you from ELCA: Let us thank and praise God for the generosity of all of you in the EA/WA-ID Synod! Mission Support received from congregations for Fiscal Year 2019 (2-1-18 to 1-31-19) advances our partnership and growth in all of our congregations. Total Mission Support received was $813,237which represents the highest monetary giving in 9 years. FLC donated $23,066.58! From these gifts to our synod, 25% is shared with the ELCA to further the mission of our whole church. Thank you for your commitment to building relationships as a ministry partner of our EA/WA-ID Synod.

Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center is grateful and excited to report that they are now in the new dining hall (the very first meal was pizza)! The dedication, planned for Sunday, May 19th, will be a special day for the camp and for all those who have been committed in seeing the project through. The Bishop of the UMC Conference will preside over the service as the facility is dedicated to the glory and work of God. The dedication will begin at 2:00pm with the service at 3:00pm with a meal shortly after. If you are interested in attending, please email (office@lazyfcamp.org) or call 509.962.2780. Please see the letter from Dave Burfeind, camp director, on the bulletin board by the kitchen for more information.

Kairos Outside (which helps women, who have a loved one that is or was incarcerated) will be using our facilities on April 13th for a training and April 26-28 for a weekend retreat. Kairos Outside is a weekend retreat intended to help strengthen the family unit and encourage small support groups. Kairos of Eastern WA holds one weekend a year to provide a secure place for women to share their struggles. Not everyone feels called to this type of ministry or can make the time commitment that is needed to form a team. The women that attend (the guests) do not pay anything. Team members are working throughout the year to raise funds to cover the expense of a three day weekend for up to 80 people. If you would like to help volunteer your time or for more information, please contact Michele Brown at 407-443-0682 or Micheled_brown@yahoo.com
