Thank you to Joe Johnson for preaching today.

Please join us today after worship to day to celebrate long-time Ellensburg resident and FLC parishioner, Jerry Grebb, as he celebrates his 70th birthday with cake provided by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Rusty Figgins.

Pastor Dennis will be back in the office tomorrow, August 27th.

A memorial service for our friend, Louise Danton Fennerty will be held here Thursday, August 30th at 10a.m.

No Adult Bible Study August 23, 30. We will resume Thursday, September 6th.

FISH Adopt a Shelf Program ….Soup…. This summer June, July and August, First Lutheran is participating in FISH Food Bank’s adopt a shelf program. If possible, these need to be pull-top cans of soup. This shelf holds all kinds of soups, from broth to hearty vegetable to meaty Italian wedding soup. Please just bring them to church with you and fill our food bank box by the office door. We need to provide at least 50 cans a week.

Prayer Vigil for keeping families together. Monday-Thursday 9a.m.-noon at First Lutheran and noon to 3p.m. at United Methodist. Anyone is invited to come in for silent prayer. We pray that children will soon be reunited with their parents and better immigration practices will prevail. And pray for whatever is on your heart and mind for a few minutes, half an hour or whatever you have time for.
