We’ll visit several of the care facilities in town as well as some private homes.

Advent Service of Lessons and Carols Grace Episcopal Church, 1201 N. B St. TODAY, Sunday, Dec 13th at 3pm. This wonderful ecumenical worship service has been happening in Ellensburg since 1988. This service was first presented at King’s College, Cambridge in 1918. The congregation joins in singing many Christmas carols. Choirs from a number of churches, including First Lutheran, sing separately and then as a combined choir. Pastors from different churches read the scripture lessons and a whole host of scrumptious cookies await you at the fellowship time afterwards. Come early to find parking and seating, as it is usually a full house.

Christmas Eve Worship Services at 7 and 9 pm (please note the time change). On December 24th we will again have two worship services. Both are candlelight Holy Communion services with plenty of Christmas carols. The 7 pm service is more family oriented and the choir will be singing at the 9 pm service. Come celebrate the birthday of our Savior Jesus and the miracle of God with us in human flesh. Please note the later service has been moved up to 9pm. The 7pm service is always very full. But our later Christmas Eve service has been declining in attendance for a number of years now, so it seemed the time to try a different approach. Our hope is that 9pm won’t be “too late” for some folks and perhaps some people who usually come at 7 pm will try the 9pm service.

Youth Activities

Today our hand baked and decorated goodies will be delivered during the caroling event. Please join us in singing and visiting our home-bound congregation members. It is so wonderful to see so many smiles!
