Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer Services in Advent

Half hour worship services during the season of Advent will be on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm, December 5, 12 and 19. These are half hour services of scripture, prayer and song. During the hectic month of December, you are invited to take a brief time-out for worship and it’s always great to sing Holden Evening Prayer together.

FLC Women Save the Date...Tuesday, December 18, 6:30p.m. All Women are welcome to attend a “Cookie Exchange” in the fellowship hall. Bring 10 dozen cookies (all one kind or 5 dozen each of two kinds). Please bring copies of your recipes to share, unless they are family secrets. :) Start baking now for the freezer or bake the weekend before. Snacks will be provided.

Caroling to our homebound members: Sunday, December 9th after worship. Anyone is welcome to join our youth and parents as we share a little Christmas joy with our homebound members. We’ll serve a light lunch for carolers right after worship, then carpool to homes and assisted living places. Let Amy and/or Pastor Dennis know if you are going. We’ll be done by about 1:30p.m.

Time, Talent and Treasure If you did not get the chance last Sunday to fill out a Time & Talent sheet or a financial pledge form, they are in the back by the bulletins and ushers. Drop them in the offering plate, mail them in, or put them in the big basket on the children’s table just outside the sanctuary.

Christmas Poinsettias Sponsor a poinsettia for Christmas. We would like to get about 10 sponsors. These can be in honor of, or in memory of, as we do for altar flowers. If you would like it to be included in the bulletin for December 23 and 24, please give the information to Christine in the church office. If you are interested please drop off a poinsettia by December 12th. For more information please contact the Church office at 925-2844 or

Weekend Nutrition—We are in need of food for weekend nutrition bags for 15 children at Lincoln Elementary. Please bring your donations and place them in the box under the coat rack near the sanctuary doors. Examples include: Chef Boyardee cups, mac ‘n’ cheese cups, fruit or pudding cups, small crackers and cheese packs, basically anything that is easy for kids to open to eat for lunch or dinner. Bags are assembled here every Thursday for delivery to Lincoln. If you would like to donate money, we will buy the food—please write out your check to FLC and put “Weekend Nutrition” on the memo line. Thank you for your support!
