Did you hear? Souper Bowl Sunday raised $423.51!!! Unbelievable! That's an enormous blessing for the FISH Food Bank! Kudos Youth! For those who are curious: The Patriots soup kettle took in $1.18 pity money. Not too shabby for the "team who shall not be named".
FYI - we need two more teams and three judges for Cupcake Madness. Amber has signed up a team of her own and is about to take on the cupcake world! Can anyone match her mad cupcake skills? Sign up and find out!

WALK TO JERUSALEM
from First Lutheran Church Ellensburg, WA - 6,875 miles (as the crow flies)
What? Walk to Jerusalem is a 10 week program designed to promote physical and spiritual well-being. The goal is for participants to accumulate enough miles of physical activity to walk from their church to Jerusalem by Easter. Our trip will include weekly bible verses, devotions, and prayers so we can grow spiritually in our faith journey and become more fit physically. Our route to Jerusalem via New York and the countries of Europe will be 6,875 miles.
How? You can either count the miles that you walk, run or jog, or count 20 minutes of any aerobic activity as 1 mile. Examples of aerobic activity would be swimming, biking, cardio machines, team sports, etc. We ask that you keep track of your miles to the nearest mile and report them on a weekly basis.
Who? Anyone of any age can participate. Remember to report your miles weekly.
When? Participants can officially start keeping track of their miles on Sunday, January 25th with the goal of finishing on Saturday April 4th, the day before Easter. (See below for how to report your miles). Use the mileage tracker (attached) to log your miles.
Reporting: Report your weekly miles in either of three ways
1. Send your miles weekly at the end of the week (Saturday) including your first and last name and your email address to firstname.lastname@example.org OR
2. Send your miles weekly via “text message” (charges may apply based upon your phone plan) including your first and last name to 678-493-7300 OR
3. Leave a copy of your mileage record sheet in the mailbox in the church office for Michael Krekling (Stewardship ministry).
When you sign up to participate include your first name, last name, email address so we can send you the weekly bible verses, devotions, prayers or other information.
