Annual Meeting of First Lutheran Church: Sunday, Jan 27th
Our youth will be serving a baked potato bar. Immediately after lunch we will have our annual meeting, the main purpose of which is to pass an annual budget and elect church council members. So we need all voting members to stay for a brief meeting. (If you are an adult or a confirmed youth, you are a voting member.) A budget forum will be held on Sun. Jan 13 at 9am in the fellowship hall. If you have questions or input about the budget, that is the time.
Weekend Nutrition—We are in need of food for weekend nutrition bags for 15 children at Lincoln Elementary. Please bring your donations and place them in the box under the coat rack near the sanctuary doors. Examples include: Chef Boyardee cups, mac ‘n’ cheese cups, fruit or pudding cups, small crackers and cheese packs, basically anything that is easy for kids to open to eat for lunch or dinner. Bags are assembled here every Thursday for delivery to Lincoln. If you would like to donate money, we will buy the food—please write out your check to FLC and put “Weekend Nutrition” on the memo line. Thank you for your support!
Confirmation Retreat at Lazy F Camp February 1-2
The retreat will come up on us fast, so please mark your calendars. We hope there will be snow. If there is snow, please bring warm gear for the awesome tubing hill. There will also be time for the game room, craft room and great food in the dining hall. Make sure you bring your sleeping bag, pillow and a toothbrush, as well as a Bible and a notebook, as we plan to cover a couple confirmation lessons. High school youth are welcome, too. $30 per student. Scholarships available—see Pastor Dennis. Adults—free! We’ll plan to leave the church Fri 2/1 at 4 pm and return to church Sat at 4 or 5 pm. It’s a really fun time! Please, sign up on the board!
