Women’s retreat planning meeting on July 9th at noon at the church.

The financial giving statements for the first half of 2019 have been distributed either by email or printed and waiting to be picked up in the fellowship hall. If you gave during January thru June and did not get a statement via email or a printed copy, see James Stolte or leave your name in the church office. Thank you for your support of the church’s work.

You can now give a financial contribution by using the Vanco Give Plus app on your phone using your credit/debit card or savings/checking account. Like any credit card use, there is a processing fee charged to the merchant/church. There is an option you can check to pay a percentage to help cover that cost if you desire. You will be given credit for the full amount you give. You also have the option to select different funds to contribute to. If a fund you want to contribute to is not listed, let the church office or James Stolte know and it can be added. If you would like more information see James Stolte.

FISH Adopt a Shelf ….Protein….

This summer June, July and August First Lutheran is adopting a shelf at FISH Food Bank. This shelf holds all kinds of protein, think heat and eat canned meals. Such as beef stew, chili, chili mac, ravioli, corned beef hash and chicken & dumplings. (No tuna fish.) Generic is fine, and bringing one or two kinds will also work. This shelf holds a lot of variety! Please just bring them to church with you and fill our food bank box. We would like to provide 50 cans a week.

Thank you to everyone last week we donated 72 cans of food (97 pounds)!

FISH is in dire need for volunteers, after having lost college students, etc. Lots of openings for Picnic in the Park, KERNEL (kids program at the Farmers Market), and in the warehouse. Elise Warren is the contact person, 509-925-5990.
