Flowers for today are provided by Estelle Johnson in celebration of her grandsons, Ethan Johnson & Robert Barnhart, who are graduating High School, and in honor of her birthday.

Congratulations to our graduating High School Seniors: Ethan Johnson, Engaisi Peter, Sam Young, Carly Quirk, Megan Burfeind and Robert Barnhart. Please join them for cake after worship today!

Vacation Bible School this year will be Sunday, June 23 to Thursday, June 27th from 6:00-8:15 pm. Mark your calendars and invite your friends. If you can help in some way, please sign up on the board in the fellowship hall (we will need lots of cookies)! Registration forms were sent to FLC families and there are also forms on the table next to the board with a box for completed forms.

Email Updates: Would you like to receive FLC news, Youth updates, Prayer Requests, and/or Sunday School info through email? If so, then be sure to signup on the FLC Email Notification list. You can find a quick form on the FLC web site. Please signup now, and keep connected.

Summer Youth Program: The Youth Summer Schedule is now sketched out and available at FLC's web site (www.flc-eburg.org/ministry/youth-summer). Here's a partial list of what you'll find: Boulder Cave Hike, Mariner's game, FISH Summer Lunch Program, Winegar's Wednesdays, and Moses Lake Waterpark trip. For more information, please contact Joe Johnson at flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com.

High School Home Study: We're spending some time in our Bibles...and FLC homes. All upcoming, current, and recently graduated high school students are invited to an hour in Bible study. And, we're asking Youth parents to host. If you're a HS Youth, bring your Bible. If you're a HS Youth parent, consider hosting. If you can host, please visit the "Youth Summer Schedule 2013" page on the FLC web site to signup. HSHS takes place from 7:00–8:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings, June 9, 16, July 7, 21, August 11, and 18. You can also signup to host or let Joe know you'll be coming via email: flcyouth.eburg@gmail.com

Youth-Parent Book Group: Another opportunity to get Youth in FLC homes—and read great Christian books. We'll select three books for the summer and spend 90 minutes talking about them. All Youth and parents are welcome to participate (and if you're neither Youth nor parent, we won't kick you out). If you can host, we need homes: Sunday evenings, 6:30–8:00, June 30, July 28, and August 25). Our first book is the short, entertaining, and thought-provoking C.S. Lewis classic, The Great Divorce (a very interesting look at Heaven and Hell). Group members will nominate and select the two other summer books during our June 30 meeting.

Youth End of Year Bar-B-Q: Irene Rinehart Park, June 20, 6:00–8:00 p.m. We'll fire up the grill at Carey Lake for our annual BBQ. This is our chance to welcome new Youth and say goodbye to those graduating and moving on. Pray that it won't rain on us. "Youth" includes incoming sixth-graders, outgoing seniors, and everyone between (and we won't kick adults out).

To all Thrivent members: Many of you have taken part in Thrivent Choice, the program that lets members recommend where some of Thrivent’s charitable outreach funds should go. All qualifying members can direct Thrivent’s Choice Dollars to an organization of their choosing.

Several of us directed funds to First Lutheran Church when Doyle Melius, our representative, was here a few years ago. Since that time it has been done automatically.

Now, to direct Thrivent Choice Dollars, Thrivent is requiring members to once again sign up and designate an organization of their choosing.

If you would like to have Thrivent Choice Dollars be directed to First Lutheran Church, you may do so two ways:

1) If you have a User ID and Password set up, log on to Thrivent.com/ThriventChoice, or 2) Simply call 800-THRIVENT (800-847-4836) and a representative will help you. It will only take a few minutes. Say “Thrivent Choice” when prompted. It helps to have your Thrivent I.D. number ready. Thank you!

Needed: People to bring cookies or other refreshments for fellowship time after the Sunday service. There are sign-up sheets and more information on the kitchen door. There are lots of open Sundays in May and June. Thank you for your service!

Lutherhaven Summer Camp. Time to sign up for a great week on Lake Coeur D’Alene. First Lutheran is giving a $150 Campership to any child connected to our church who wants to go. Registration forms are on the Kids Table or you can go online to lutheranhaven.com

The photos displayed in the fellowship hall are from our 2008 pictorial directory. Many changes within our church family have taken place since then. If we don’t have your smiling face in this directory, or in our newer member’s book, or on the new member’s board by the front door, we would like to have a photo of you. We hope to produce our own photo directory soon. (There’s no reason to pay someone to do it with today’s technology.)

In the mean time, please submit a photo in the envelope by the display, or email a photo to flceburg@yahoo.com or, Doug Fessler or Mike Krekling can snap a quick photo of you before or after worship. Thank you!
