If you are interested in performing special music for a worship service this summer please contact the church office or Betty Kramlich. If you would like Betty to accompany you please contact her.
Thank you to everyone who helped at VBS last week!! It was a great time and we couldn’t do it without all the people who served in many ways: dinners, cookie bakers, crew leaders (thank you to our youth), station leaders, and of course, the enthusiastic kids!
First Lutheran Giving Tree The First Lutheran Family is a very generous and giving family. Our Church needs your help in receiving some of this generosity. Our budget is struggling and we are asking for your help beyond your regular financial giving. We come to church and expect there to be heat, paper towels, crayons and garbage bags to name a few of the many items used to keep the church operating. Here’s how you can help: Located in the fellowship hall is our new Giving Tree. It is full of fruit and flower post-its with items our church uses.
Pick a fruit or flower from the tree and give back to the church that gives so much for others. You can purchase the actual item or give money with the post-it attached for the church staff to purchase. Your Friends on the Stewardship Committee
You can now give a financial contribution by using the Vanco Give Plus app on your phone using your credit/debit card or savings/checking account. Like any credit card use, there is a processing fee charged to the merchant/church. There is an option you can check to pay a percentage to help cover that cost if you desire. You will be given credit for the full amount you give. You also have the option to select different funds to contribute to. If a fund you want to contribute to is not listed, let the church office or James Stolte know and it can be added. If you would like more information see James Stolte.
FISH Adopt a Shelf ….Protein…. This summer First Lutheran is adopting a shelf at FISH Food Bank. This shelf holds all kinds of protein, think heat and eat canned meals. Such as beef stew, chili, chili mac, ravioli, corned beef hash and chicken & dumplings. (No tuna fish.) Generic is fine, and bringing one or two kinds will also work. This shelf holds a lot of variety! Please just bring them to church with you and fill our food bank box. We would like to provide 50 cans a week.
FISH is in dire need for volunteers, after having lost college students, etc. Lots of openings for Picnic in the Park, KERNEL (kids program at the Farmers Market), and in the warehouse. Elise Warren is the contact person, 509-925-5990.
