The Wednesday Soup and Bread Supper will be hosted this week by members of the Worship & Music Ministry. Please join us at 6:00 p.m. for a delicious meal. At 6:50p we will move into the sanctuary for Holden Evening Prayer, scripture and a brief message, and a little review of Luther’s small catechism. We’ll wrap it up by 7:30p Come as you are to these fun and informal evenings of good food, fellowship, scripture and worship. The following ministries are hosting soup suppers:

"Hello, Everybody! Munch Madness '18 continues for several more weeks. Please keep bringing food (heavy, remember?). Weigh-ins are on Fridays. Food can be brought this week (M-Th mornings) and also to Lenten series Wednesday night!!! Go FLC!!!!

Thank you to the Boss Family and the Cutlips for loading and hauling food to FISH Food Bank for the Friday weigh-ins. And thank you to all of you for your generous contributions to “Munch Madness.”

Women’s Bible Study held Tuesdays in the quilting room has a slight time change, it will now begin at 11:45 instead of 12:00.

Sunday Adult Class we started a new book today: “The Forgotten Luther; Reclaiming the Social– Economic Dimension of the Reformation.” Come join us in the Chapel at 8:45am on Sundays.

A huge Thank You to our Cold Weather Shelter Volunteers; especially Art & Joan Neslund, Debbie Butler, David Lygre and Wolfgang Franz. Thank you for hosting the Thursday Shelter nights here at FLC, November-February.

A CHOICE DOLLARS reminder from your Congregational Advocate Mike Krekling - Are you a Thrivent Financial member? If so, you may have Thrivent Choice Dollars available to help support one of the ministries here at First Lutheran in Ellensburg.

You have until March 31 to designate where these dollars are used or they go away. This money is NOT out of your account and comes directly from Thrivent but you have to designate where the funds are sent. You have to do this each and every year or the money goes away. Do not hesitate to put this on your “To Do List” this week!

You may select where this money goes in three different ways;

Sign in to with your ID and password and select “My Thrivent” then select “Direct Choice

Dollars” (just above “Start an Action Team”). You may select First Lutheran Church (or another approved 501c3) as the recipient of these funds;

Call Thrivent Financial toll free at 1-800-847-4836 and let them know you want to assign your Thrivent Choice Dollars and they will assist you with this.

Call our Thrivent Financial Representative in Yakima, Jay Kelley, at 509-494-3401 and he will assist you

All the monies received at FLC from Thrivent Financial Choice Dollars program goes into a special account to be used for special needs of the ministries of FLC. Don’t delay! Youth Activities

Youth Group (grades 6 - 12)

Wednesday = Youth Lenten Devotional. 6 pm eat soup then meet in the Sunday School Chapel when you're done!

Got siblings? Brand new for brothers and sisters in grades 3 to 5 on Sunday, March 4th. Mrs. Campbell has an event just for them!

March 14 = our turn to bring in and serve soup! Sign up on the Youth Board! Meet in the kitchen with your soup at 5 pm! Wear your Thrivent or First Lutheran Shirt.

March 24 = Get Air! Trampoline Park! Leave the church at 1 p.m. Bring $3 for jump socks and money for a stop at the AM/PM on the way home!

March 31 = Easter Breakfast Set Up! 10am Dye eggs, stuff plastic eggs, roll napkins, decorate the Fellowship Hall. Fun for everyone!
