A SEASON OF GIVING. The First Lutheran Church Women are collecting a Thankoffering donation today, Sunday, November 22nd. You will find envelopes in the pews and the money collected will go to Lutheran World Relief. Prov. 22:9 “The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.”

You are invited to bring your thankoffering forward and place it in the basket as we sing our hymn of the day. If writing a check please make payable to FLCW.

Scandinavian Potluck Dinner, Wednesday, December 9th at 5:30p.m. We will be setting up the Fellowship Hall to accommodate 180 diners. To be sure that you and your guests will be able to be seated when you arrive, you should pick up a FREE ticket for each person in your party, we’ll also keep track of the people to whom we gave tickets and how many. Ticket table will be available after church on November 22, 29 and December 6th or until all tickets are gone. In addition, we are asking for a crew of helpers and chefs who will be instrumental in making the event a success. There are two sign-up opportunities: one for being part of the crew of helpers and the other for indicating what food you’ll prepare. The Congregational Life Ministry thanks you in advance for your assistance.

Community Thanksgiving Service Sunday Nov 22nd 6:00pm at Chestnut St. Baptist The Kittitas Valley Ministerial Association invites everyone to an informal Thanksgiving worship service of songs, prayers, scriptures and brief messages. Many pastors from the Kittitas Valley will be taking part. Thanksgiving is definitely a good time to cross denominational lines and praise and thank God together.

Soup and Worship at First Lutheran Tues Nov 24th 6:00pm Come as you are to a simple, but hearty meal of soup and bread at 6:00 on Tues Nov 24th. We’ll roll the piano into the fellowship hall and sing songs of Thanksgiving to our wonderful God. Bible readings and prayers will happen as well. Thank you to Worship & Music and Congregational Life for hosting this. Please bring non-perishable food items for F.I.S.H. Food Bank.

FLC BAKERS AGAIN RISE TO OCCASION! Last Sunday's Bread for the World bake sale was, as always, a fine success! A dazzling variety of baked goods found ready and generous purchasers, yielding about $300 for "BFTW," with a few late payments still expected. WELL DONE, EVERYONE!

Grieving through the Holidaze: Pastor Jen at United Methodist and Hospice Chaplain Janine Yoder will lead a group that seeks to provide a safe and supportive place for people who are grieving during the holidays. Youth Activities

Today! 1p.m. to 4 p.m. we are making our personal hygiene kits that will serve the homeless. It's not too late to sign up for to a kit or two to take along! Delivery dates outside our community still to come.
