Pastor Dennis will be out of the office Monday-Wednesday this week for the Bishop’s Convocation in Leavenworth.

New Members/Inquirers Classes Nov. 4, 11 Dec. 2, 9 Sundays after worship in the chapel. Anyone who is interested in joining First Lutheran Church, or simply wants a little refresher on what Lutherans believe and do is invited to attend these four classes after Sunday worship services, in the chapel.

We’ll meet for an hour or less with Pastor Dennis and read together Dan Erlander’s book, “Baptized We Live.” Please plan on attending all four classes if you can. It’s a great time to ask questions and get to know some of your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Food Bank Update: Thanks everyone for bringing soup to stock our FISH soup shelf– great job! And garden produce-thank you! Our food bank is really low on canned meats right now. Tuna fish, chicken, spam……….is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all who donated, 91 pounds of food last week (soup and produce).

Operation Christmas Child is still going strong!! Bring your donations of small toys, stuffed animals, puzzles, and socks! We will be packing boxes on Wednesday, November 7th.

All Women are Welcome to attend Hot Drinks and Treats, Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30p.m. at FLC. Babysitting and treats are provided.

Cold Weather Shelter Training: Thursday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. at FLC. If you are interested in helping at the cold weather shelter this year, please attend this training.

Rip Edward Yost (grandson of Jeanie Lusk) will be baptized next Sunday, November 4th.

Quilt Sale next Sunday, November 4th After Worship Quilts $40.00, Lap Robes $25.00, Baby Quilts $25.00 A handful of quilters have worked all summer on quilts for this sale. Please, purchase one of these beautiful quilts made with lots of love. All proceeds go to the general fund.
