She joins big sister, Allorah, and brother, Britt. Laurae Lygre and Libby Street are hosting a baby shower for Jesika and Lillian. They are planning a light lunch followed by a game or two and time to “ooh” and “aah” as Jesika opens gifts for Lillian.

Jesika has provided the following list of gifts they would particularly appreciate:

· outfits for fall and winter or for spring and summer; and

· contributions toward a new baby bouncer. (Their current baby bouncer was so much-loved by Allorah and Britt that it has seen better days.)

Youth Activities

For Youth:

Saturday, October 14 - Classic Monster Movie Marathon. Meet in the FLC gym at 3 p.m.! Bring a comfy chair! Popcorn and candy corn provided. Details: This is the "old school" original Universal Monster collection. Instead of a haunted maze, we are going to spooked by the 1930 Bela Lugosi Dracula, Boris Karloff's 1931 Frankenstein and 1932 Mummy, and the 1941 Lon Chaney Wolfman. We may have time for the 1935 Bride of Frankenstein or 1933 Invisible Man. There is guaranteed to be a lot of campiness, popcorn, and good old fashioned scares! This event is a YIE (youth idea event) that got a lot of thumbs up!

For Families:

FAMILY FUN NIGHT! Tuesday October 10! 5:30 p.m. Get those crazy costumes out and come on down to the church. This is an all family event where we eat, play, and get the heebie jeebies in the Youth Jump-Scare Fun House. A thank you to the Winter family who will be making their famous Boo Burritos and our youth members who have taken charge and created the fun house!

For Everyone:

Operation Christmas Child Donation Drive! Bring in toys, crayons, coloring books, socks, and toothbrushes! These boxes will go all over the world and make many impoverished kids happy! Collection goes all month into November when we pack boxes!

Mt Stuart has called on us to gather books for new teachers. Think grades K - 5, but don't forget those advanced readers. I picked up some amazing gems at the rummage sale! What do you have, that an eager reader can get into?
