Sunday School Starts today, September 18th All kids age 4 through 5th grade will meet during part of the worship service immediately after “Just for Kids” time, and not at 8:45. Middle/High School youth will continue to meet at 8:45 in the youth room off the gym, and the adult class will meet with Pastor Dennis at 8:45 in the chapel room down the hall. We will continue reading and discussing “Manna & Mercy” Pastor Dan Erlander’s great overview of the Bible. There’s a class for everyone.

Constitution & By Laws Discussion Sunday, September 25 after Worship We are in the process of updating our constitution to bring it in line with the ELCA model constitution. Neal Caulkins will be on hand to field questions and concerns. The plan then is to vote on the new constitution on Sunday, October 9th. Please join us for a short meeting Sunday, September 25th after worship.

Choir rehearsals begin Thursday, September 29th 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Do you enjoy singing? Then Come!

Bereavement Committee: Looking for members who would like to join, several of us on the church bereavement committee. Members are needed who will help put on a memorial luncheon or by calling members for food donations, help setting up, manning the kitchen and cleaning up after the luncheon. If this is something you would enjoy helping with please call the church office 925-2844 or Estelle Johnson 925-5214.

The roof is done! (Well the half of the flat roof we are doing this year is done!) Materials were delivered on August 30th and work happened September 6-9th. Huge thanks to you who have already given generously to the $22,304.16 project. So far $17,250.00 has come in. (there’s still plenty of room at the table for your gift if you have not done so already.)

Quilt Sale Save the Date Sunday, November 13th Please put November 13th on your calendar for our annual Quilt Sale. The proceeds from this sale will go back to the church’s general fund; for music & worship, VBS, or where ever funds are needed. A handful of quilters have worked all summer on quilts for this sale. Save your nickels and dimes, so you can purchase one of these beautiful quilts made with lots of love.

Annual FLCW Rummage Sale

Fri., September 30th ~ 9:00-4:00

Sat., October 1st ~ 9:00-1:00

The Annual FLCW Rummage Sale is coming right up!

Items may be brought to the church beginning Sunday, September 25th until noon on Thursday, September 29th.

~ Please, no magazines, computers, or exercise equipment. And make sure all appliances and clothing are clean and ready for use.

~ We will need help marking items and organizing the donations. Please drop in during the week to help when you can.

~We need lots of help the day and a half of the sale and help with loading leftovers into pickups Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

~ We will also need many pies and bread! BAKERSPlease bring your baked goods in by Friday morning!
